QuestionQUESTION: hi my name is Linda and im trying to decide what car to buy dont have alot of money so heres my choice 1999 jeep gnd cherokee w/72 k in good conditionrear was serviced but not a real lot was done but looks good and seems to run good 6,500 now there a 03 with 137 k car fax says serviced as supposd to oil changes reguarly tran checks,one owner,new brakes,new hoses,oil change,5,800 kept up regular maintance til the last year or so he was older and traded it in great shape ,what the best car to buy ,i going at 5pm today HELP A S A P .terrified LINDA

QUESTION: hi this is terrified again the first car the 99 since i emailed you talked to the dealer and he knew i had another car i was considering i told him the deal that the other dealer offered me and after some persuasion he dropped his price to the same as the other guy can you believe that,i drove the 99 already so i know its in good shape but the no service records bugs me,the car fax is good no issues,and as it turns out we will be seeing the car tomarrow insted of today the distance is 1 hour and 15 min away so the decision needs to be made that night.its to much to go back and forth.so im still terrified and dont know which car to choose if this 03 is good also.YIKES!!help me make the right choice. linda

Buying a model year 99 vs 03 is not a major factor,,, CONDITION,,, that will outlast your investment is all that you want. Can I believe the price drop ? yes I can, but what good is any price drop without knowing it's true value ?
You test drove the 99 and liked it " any test drive can feel good if you don't know what to look for " did the test drive include the steps I pointed out in my website and passed each one ? if so read my link about taking to a mechanic, it will cost a few bucks but well worth the investment, from there the final step comes down to how to negotiate for the best price.
SUMMARY,,, Why drive for over an hour if the vehicle close to you passes all perimeters with price being right along with seller not objecting to an independent inspection.Is there a link for these vehicle's I can view for red flags ?

QUESTION: yes i thought it was a nice car not totaly perfect a little rust on the exaust pipe yes i read the step to take on a test drive it was fine a tad loose inthe steering ,I just may be used to a tight sports car.not to bad or a car we go this afternoon to test drive the 03 and will do the sameif they both seem to be good what is the better choice 03 137k with consistant 1 owner service records or 99 72k no service records and jiggled around with 3 owners comming from an auction changed hands 2 xs in the near end of ownership he fixed pitman arm,rear rotors,front tires,said brakes are good and just passed md inspection.you best choice would be?????help time is running out. AnswerThere is no question, the 03 is better value if your statement checks out.
Having answered thousand of questions feel good about the fact you're 90% ahead of other buyers that don't take the time to investigate the power of their own money, and many will end up with a lemon. good luck and send me a picture of the pup in his new car, lol
