Tires: Tire Compatibility, sized tires, mercedes suv

I have newer tires on my Jaguar Vandem Plas: size 225/60/60R16 and will sell car for parts soon. My wife wants to put them on her Mercedes 500ML (a SUV)which needs new tires.She now has 275/55R17/109  Can she exchange tires with me?

The tires from the Jag are way, way too small for your Mercedes SUV.  If you were to try to use them, they would very likely fail - and that sometimes has tragic results.

So, but your wife's car needs to have properly sized tires and the ones on the Jag are not them.
