Tires: Directional tire mounting - LH/RH side?, lh rh, correct direction

Question
Hi Barry.
My directional tire has rotation arrows on both sidewalls, but no OUTSIDE or LEFT/RIGHT marks.
How to decide which tire goes to the left/right side of the vehicle?

Thanks in advance.

Answer
Zaq,

A directional tire will have arrows indicating the direction of travel.  When mounted on the vehicle, the arrows have to be pointing the correct direction.  That means when 4 tires are mounted, 2 tires have to be pointing one direction, and 2 tires have to be pointing the other direction.  This is strictly a matter of orientation.

Also, asymmetrical tires will have an "inside / outside" indication and it doesn't matter where on the vehicle they are mounted, the outside will always be on the outside.
