QuestionI rechecked all wire connections and I only have a single yellow wire for a switch ignition detection. The other yellow wire(heavier guage) is for the ignition output. The 2 red heavier guage wires go to a constant +12 just as the smaller guage red for main CPU input. I didn't short anything out that I detected smelled. Status LED flashes when shock sensor detects vibration and the LED stays on steady when either doors are open.

Question -
I installed this alarm in my 1991 Chevy Silverado. I have the - door trigger going to the green wire, +12 ignition going to the yellow, both +12 battery inputs 1&2 are hooked up. Main power going to +12 and the ground is secure. I have the Valet/Antenna mounted up in windshield and shock sensor hooked up. I cannot arm or disarm system....I tried program mode after ignition was cycled 4 times and siren chirps 4 times, but when I hold Valet button right after chirps, I get nothing. Almost like antenna isn't working? I have double checked connections.
Answer -
It sounds like damage has occured on the CPU not allowing
for the programing functions. I believe you called in last night to go over this.
My best suggestion, if it's installled right, (and look at it again, there are 2 red -heavy guage & 1 red 10 guage wire
that MUST go to constant 12 volts and the yellow's (2) Must go to a switched ignition source, for all programing and functions to operate.)
If all this is correct, send back the brain box and remotes for bench repair. If it's a factory defect, the swap will be free under the warranty. If installers error, the
brain box will cost 65.00 plus shipping to replace.
Go over it again to be sure.

AnswerAs I said previously, I would need the brain box and remotes back so that I can send them in for bench testing and replacement/repair.
If found to be a factory defect, there is no cost.
