Answer
Lea76,

Are there other markings on the tire - like the letters "ST" or the letters "LT" before or after the size?  Does the tire have loading and inflation information?  Does it have "Ply Rating" or "Load Range"?  Ply Rating will be look like this:  8 PR - where the number will be an even number.  It might even say "Ply Rating.  Load Range will be a letter.

My web site has a conversion for passenger car type tires and includes 6.70-15.

If the tire in question is a passenger car tire, then the closest match is a P195/75R15 which is supposed to go on a wider rim than a 6.70-15.

However, there is also a 6.70-15LT that is a LT type tire and it has different loading and inflation limitations.

Please look at the tire carefully and post back what it says.
