Tires: Latitude vs. LTS M/S 2 for 07Highlander, sporty type, sport model

Question
Hi Barry,

I have an 07 Highlander 2WD Sport model that needs tires.  The curent set are Bridgestone Dueler Aliance's that got 36000 vs. warranted 60,000 miles.  I've narrowed my choice down to Michelin Latitude or LTX M/S 2 but am having trouble deciding between the 2.  Currently, most of my driving is city, but that could change if I change jobs.  I live in Atlanta so with the traffic, itwouldn't be pure highway in any case.  I'm not a sporty type driver focused on performance, but prefer a smooth more car like ride that is safe in dry and rain and light snow and ice and want the tires to last better than the Duelers.   LTX reviews make it appeaer to be the best bit it is SUV & Light Truck vs. Latitude that is SUV & Crossover, so I'm now wondering if Latitude more fits my driving style.

Answer
Jeff,

Ordinarily I don't answer questions that are brand specific, but I'll make an exception because of what you have asked.

I think the Latitudes are OE tires - and as such, they will not have as good of mileage or traction as the LTX M/S 2's - BUT - they will be better for fuel economy.

Does this help?
