Tires: truck tires, wheel camper, inflation pressure

Question
I have a 1999 f250sd 4x4 7.3 diesel that i use to pull my 5th wheel camper (39'). I have dayton timberline commercial 265/75r16 tires now. Is there a better heavier load tire that i can use on my truck.  The 7.3 diesel and the camper both are pretty stressfull on any tire that i've tried thus far. Thanks.

Answer
Ken,

First, The tire you have on there now - LT265/75R16 Load Range E should be able to stand up to anything you can dish out.  What makes you think they are deficient?

Second, you are aware that your truck originally came with LT245/75R16 Load Range E's on 7" rims, right?  Those rims are on the narrow side, but still within acceptable limits.  Have you changed wheels - perhaps to a narrower width?

And lastly, what inflation pressure are you using?
