My Crown Vics currently has P235 55R17 tires. Can I go up to P255 50 R17 tires? I have the programmer, so I can calibrate the speedo and tranny. Do you see a problem with the chassis and handling?

The tires are less than 1% different, so from a speedo and odo point of view, this shouldn't make enough difference to matter.

But the difference between tires - that is, make and model - will have more effect than the difference in tire size, so choose carefully.
