Tires: mounting tires w/dot and triangle on wall, cragar rims, gram weights

Question
I purchased some C600 FWD Cragar rims for my 2004 Camry. I Had some Yokohoma YK520 225/45 R17 91H mounted on wheels. At 60-70 mph my steering wheel shakes, and only at that speed range. I have mounted and rechecked balancing four times by four shops. All come within 1/4-1/2 gram. Weights on each wheel is over 4+ grams.  Now I write all this to ask if the markings on tire wall (red dot or triangle) have anything to do with aligning them to the vale stem for propose of correct balancing.
Thank You in advance for any and all consideration on the above matter.

Answer
Robert,

May be.

I have a long, involved dissertation about this subject here:

Short version:  If you have a red dot on the sidewall, it MIGHT help to align this with the valve stem.  But then again, it might not.  nevertheless, there is no harm if you do.

But I'll bet the problem is the centering of the rims.  You might need to contact Cragar to see if they recommend a centering ring for your vehicle.
