Tires: tire rotation, Tires, Staggered

Question
I have a M.Benz 2002 350 slk 2 door with smaller tires in the front and larger in the rear.  Do front right and left and rear right and left need to be rotated? If so how often? thanks for your help

Answer
Ken,

I am a firm believer in rotation.  I feel that cars should not be equipped with staggered fitments, except for special cases - and that the wear issues caused by not rotating front to rear are understood to be a future problem.

So for your case, I think you need to rotate the tires side to side - unless either the rims or the tires are directional - in which case not rotation is possible.

You can tell directional tires by the arrow on the sidewall.  But directional wheels are less obvious, but the also look like the only work one way.
