Tires: Tires of Different Ages, 2005 honda odyssey, honda odyssey

Question
I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey with Michelin LX4 tires.  I replaced one on the rear, and it has 4000 miles on it now while the other (original) has 40000 miles on it.  Is this safe, and could it cause some road noise that seems to be coming from the new tire?

Answer
Jon,

Vehicles tend to pivot around odd tires in emergency manuevers.  The more odd the tire, the more the tendency.

And the fact that a tire is different does not mean it should be making noise.

So I would look for some other reason why there is noise being generated.
