Tires: mixing tires, Mixing Tires

I have 1995 toyota camry with Michelin XSE tires. one of them got busted and the dealer said I could replace the busted tire with a Goodrich tire. Can we mix three michelin and one goodrich tires?

The best situation is to have 4 identical tires on a vehicle - brand trade name state of wear.

The next best is a pair on each axle, with the best tires on the rear.

Putting an odd tire on a vehicle is problematic.  In emergency maneuvers, vehicles tend to pivot around the odd tire.  In good conscience I can not recommend putting a single tire on a vehicle,  They ought to go on in pairs.
