Tires: 90 GMC C1500, stock rims, 20 rims

Question
I have a question about wheel and tire size.  I have a stock 1990 GMC C1500 2WD truck.  It has the stock suspension.  What is the largest tires I can put on this truck without modifications?  Also if I want to role 20" rims what si the largest tire I could put on this truck with a stock suspension?

Answer
Jason,

For your stock rims the largest 15" tire you can use is going to be P255/70R15.  However, if you are going for an off-road or rugged look then a 30x9.50R15 will provide you with more A/T choices.

To roll with 20's the reccomended size is P285/50R20.

Hope this helps,

Brett
