Tires: Volvo S60 tire presure, Tire Pressure

I have a 2001 Volvo S60 2.4 (not turbo) but replaced the wheels and tires with 205.55.R16 tires. Tire dealer told me correct inflation pressure is 38psi but I think that is for OEM 15" tires. What is optimal tire pressure for this tire?  Thanks

On every vehicle sold in the US, there is a sticker – commonly called the vehicle placard - that lists the original tire size and the proper pressure for that size.  The placard is usually located on a doorpost or in the glove box – but sometimes it is located in the trunk or on the fuel filler door.


This information is the starting point for the calculation.  Once I have that infomation, I can answer your question.
