Tires: tire plus sizing for an 04 dodge ram, dodge ram quad cab, ram quad cab

Question
I own an 04 dodge ram Quad cab 2x4 with stock 275/60R R20 tires and rims. I'd like to plus up the width. I saw a Ram in the parking lot the other day with 305/50 R20 tires. Looked nice. Although I can find nothing to support that my stock 20" rims will accomodate this size tire. Will they fit? Also, I found a good deal on a set of Avon Tech ST tires. Although I won't purchase until I'm sure they will fit.

 I will have to know the width of your rims in order to answer the first part of the question.

 Avon builds a good tire however, it is NOT known for its' mileage.  Also, experience has taught me that the product does not hold up well in warmer climates.
