Tires: 2003 honda EX sedan with MXV4 91V, Speed Rating

Question
I need 4 new tires for my 2003 Honda, I have MICH MXV4 on there now. I have an opportunity to pruchase 4 NEW cooper CS4 all season radials 80K rated in my size. I drive 70-90 miles a day for work. The Cooper tires have a better treadwear rating and The same "A" rating all around. Only issue is they are 92T's instead of 91V's. Any problems with this speed rating , or is it proprietary of Honda?

Answer
Ron,

Going towards a lower speed rating usually hurts handling.  So the crispness you feel when you turn the steering wheel will become sluggish.

Personally I don't like going below an H rating - ever - and especially if you live in a hot climate.  Speed rating is not just about speed - it's also about the ability of a tire to handle heat.
