Tires: Michelin warranty calculation, warranty claim, mile warranty

Question
I purchased new tires offering "80,000" miles.  After 35,000 miles of EVEN(= or - 1/64 inch) wear, I have only 3/32 or less tread left.

I am going to submit a warranty claim.  What percent of the new replacement tire do you think I should pay?  Can you tell me what arguments the dealer will try use to defeat my claim.

Answer
As long as the rotation, balance, aliment, PSI have been kept up to date, there should be no problem.

Ok, here is how to figure out your refund.

Since I do not have all of your info, I will use basic numbers here, which you can replace with your own.

EX: - $79.99 Price of tire
     / ( divide ) 80,000 mile warranty
     = ( equals ) 0.0009998
     X ( times by ) 45,000 miles left
     = ( equals ) $44.991 refund ( in this case )

This is per tire.
