Tires: nailed tired, americas tire company, reply thanks

Hi Bob
I bought 40,000 miles tire and now just finished 20,000 miles and one tire has nail in it. All the tires still having little lesser than 1/4" threads. should I replace all the tires or change one tire or just fix the nailed tired, whats your sugesstion. Americas tire company as usual asks me to replace all four with new tires. I am waiting for your suggestons. what you think I should do it.  Awaiting your reply.

If you live where wet traction is a concern, it is probably time to replace all the tires anyway.  As tire wear, they gradually lose hydroplaning resistance, and about 25% wear remaining is about where this starts to be noticeable.

But if you live somewhere where it is dry, then I would repair the tire and wait a bit more before replacing.
