Tires: Proper Tire Inflation, proper tire inflation, maximum inflation

Question
My 93 Honda Civic came with 175/70 R13 82S @32 PSI according to the placard. The new wheels and tires I bought are 195/50 R15 82H with a maximum inflation of 51 PSI. Since the load rating is the same, will the recommended tire pressure of 32 PSI still be the same even though it is a bigger wheel.

Answer
Eric,

Your reasoning is correct - with the provision that you are not dealing with Extra Load tires - and you aren't.

But it might be a good idea to add a few extra psi - may 3 - since you have a much lower profile and the rim needs this extra protection from impact damage.
