Tires: load/speed rating and tire size, size rims, toyota corolla

Question
2 questions
I have a 1995 Toyota Corolla 4 door sedan, with the manufacture P175/65R14.
1st question-load/speed rating, my current tires have 82H, and while I am researching tires to buy, they have 81S on them.  Will it matter for me to go down?  I cannot find 82 on the tires I am looking at, and I will not be towing anything. So I have been looking at 185/65R/14 so I can stay with the same load/speed rating.
Will it matter if I go with 185/65R/14?  Do I need to get different size rims?  Will it effect the safety of the vehicle or anything?
Thank you

Answer
Sharon,
175/65R14 and 185/65R14.

I am not sure if that 82H is OEM.

Check the sticker on the driver side door ( inside ) for load / speed rating.

Never go down a load and speed rating.

Ever car has a base weight and the tire needs to handle it.

Just as speed also effects load rating.

If the sticker is not there, then call a dealer and ask them the OEM.
