Tires: 2000 Ford F250 tires, ford f250 diesel, ford f250

Question
I have a 2000 Ford F250 diesel and the factory tire size is a 235/85/16. I need to purchase new tires and was considering going a little wider. I dont have 4 wheel drive and spend a good amount of time off pavement so I though a wider tire would help. I also do alot of heavy towing so I'm not sure if that would cause an issue with the wider tire. Trying to keep the same aspect ratio the only size I think would work is a 265/75/16. If this would be ok to do would the be any problems with the tires rubbing. Thanks in advance,

John

Answer
John,

I’m sorry, but in order to answer your question, I need to know how big the fenderwells are on your vehicle.  The folks that measure that sort of thing think the information gives them a competitive advantage, so they don’t share.

I suggest you contact Discount Tire or Tire Rack.  They both do those sorts of measurements.
