Tires: 06 Focus, suspension, tire blistering, or bent wheel?, tire rotations, ford dealer

Question
I have an 06 Ford Focus with on 23K on it, took it into the dealership because I get vibration over 50 MPH.  The did find a small bend in the front passenger side wheel but I think it is just very minor.  They also found blistering in my passenger rear tire, and said the drivers side rear is beginning to wear uneven as well.  On both sides the tread is fine but every 6 inches or so on the outside part of the tire it is worn, the passenger side is bald in these places drivers side is just slightly worn.  Is this problem because of the supposed tire blistering, the bent front wheel, or would it be a suspension issue, which the dealership did not even check?

Answer
Jennifer,

What you have is irregular wear, which is caused by misalignment and aggravated by insufficient tire rotations and insufficient tire pressure.

However, I think the source of the misalignment is the same thing that caused the bend in the rim.

So I think you need to get an alignment.

I don't think the blister has anything to do with the vibration, but it might be a manufacturing defect and you might be able to negotiate some relief on the cost of new tires with your Ford dealer.
