Tires: Dodge Dakota Tire Upsize from D to E Load Rating, goodyear wranglers, dodge dakota quad cab

Question
My truck is a 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4X4
Origional Tires were 245/65R16D Goodyear Wranglers
New tires are 245/70R16E BF Goodrich All Terrain TA
Old tires were LRD
New tires are LRE
I never carry anything heavy in the box, I was wondering how much tire pressure I should have in the new tires

Answer
Scott,

My book says that Dakotas came with P245/70R16's or P255/65R16's, and certainly no LT's are mentioned.

So check your vehicle placard to make sure.

But if I am right, you need to run 50 psi in your LT245/70R16 Load Range E to get the equivalent load carrying capacity.
