Tires: wobble on my grand caravan, suspension bushings, grand caravan

Question
My 1994 Grand Caravan has a horrible wobble at 35 mph.  I have rotated and balanced the tired, gotten an alignment and replaced the axles, to no avail.  What am I missing?

Answer
Laura,

You should have noticed that when you rotated tires that the source of the wobble moved.  If it did, then the problem is either the tires or the rims.  If it didn't move then it is something else.

Assuming it is something else, I would look at suspension bushings.  But that is something that should have been checked when the alignment was done.  Frankly, it sounds like you've missed a clue somewhere.  Retrace your steps and see if everyone who worked on your car was aware you were trying to solve a wobble.  If they weren't, then they could have seen something, but failed to tell you about it - they just did what you told them to do and nothing more.
