Tires: whats my new tire pressure, michelin pilot exalto a s, michelin mx4

Question
my 04 echo has 175/65r14's as stock tires they're michelin mx4's 81s 1019@35psi,the door placard calls for 32psi,I've kept them at 34psi.
I'm thinking of putting on michelin pilot exalto a/s 185/60r14 they're rated at 82h 1047@44psi.
what psi should I be at if i get the exalto's?

Answer
Brent,

Be careful, because, there is an error and it may have confused you.

The error is that the 185/60R14 82H is rated at 1047 @ 35 psi, however, the maximum inflation pressure is 44 psi.  This is an area that is very confusing to consumers, partially becuase of the way some retailers list this information.

For practical purposes, the load carrying characteristics of the 2 tire sizes are very similar, so you could use 1 psi lower than specified, but why not keep the same pressure.  It will be easier to remember.
