Tires: F-350, gross vehicle weight, f 350

Question
I ask you about my F-350 and you said get load range E you said for me to ask you how much weight he is carrying. He carries 2 sometimes 21/2 tons because he has 5 to leafs on each side it just if the tires will hold the weight.

Answer
Hi again!

If that is all he is carrying he will be fine with an E load range tire. Most E tires are rated at 3000 pounds, which will total 12,000 pounds of weight including the vehicle. I'm not sure what the GVWR(Gross Vehicle Weight) of your truck is, but you can find that inside the driver's door jamb. I'm sure its not over 7,000 pounds. So, you take 2 1/2 tons= 5,000 pounds and the vehicle= 7,000 pounds you will have have 12,000 pounds which is gonna be just under what the most of the E load range tires are rated to carry at max pressure of 80psi. Just make sure you have the weight evenly distributed. Good Luck!!!!!
