Tires: truck tires, michelin ltx, bf goodrich

Question
1999 Ford 150 4X4, short bed. Looking for quietest, all season tires ( need all season because we drive in Sierras in Ca/Nv part of year)(most driving on freeway however back and forth between San Diego and N CA.) as replacement tires. Any recommendations?
Thanks
Frank

Answer
Hello, Frank
I like the Michelin LTX A/S. I would go with the 255/70R16. It's a little bigger but seems to ride much better and feels up the fender wheel better. A cheaper selection would be the BF Goodrich Long Trail TA. I would stay away from the LT and go with the P. That is the 1st letter in the size code as in P255/70R16 vs LT255/75R16. The LT will give you a stiffer ride and and seems to wear more on the highway with more road noise.

Good Luck
Jack
