Tires: tires, subaru forester, snow traction

I have a 2002 subaru forester all wheel drive with 16 inch wheels. I'm looking for a tire for all seasons that offers the greatest traction in snow and ice. These all season touring tires just don't cut it. What might I be looking for? Thanx and have a nice day!

I think your question is telling me that you really want a snow tire.  

All season tires work all year round, but if you want to emphasize one particular season, you have to make the sacrifice.  Anything to do to improve snow traction is going to hurt some other performance parameter.
