HI Pat!

Regarding your answer to passing the DMV motorcycle skills test, I have a large cruiser and would like to ask if, in your professional opinion, it would be best to use a much smaller bike like a 500 for handling to take the skills test?

It would be BEST to take the test on the bike you intend to ride once you get your license.

It would be EASIEST to take the test on a much smaller bike.

If you don't think you can pass the test on your big bike, I highly recommend you sign up for the CMSP basic rider course.

Either way, keep in mind that it takes a lot more skill to stay in control of a big bike on the street than a little bike in a parking lot!
