Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: tyres, bt014, riding bikes

Question
since this year I've started racing my hayabusa on closed tracks. But somehow I can't get enough confidence in my tires which doesn't allow me to really lean the bike over. I us bridgstone battlax bt014, which is a very good tyre and I should trust them, altough, that is what the instructors tell me. Had the front renewed (springs, oil), the rear feels good. What is your opinion? I've been riding bikes for over 20 years, but racing is something else!

Answer
Hello Chris

I am a road riding man myself, but I have been onto the internet and found this link: http://www.hyp4r.com/hayabusa/surveys/survey3_results.htm

It is a survey, although a few years old on suitable tyres for the Busa.

It is difficult to advice you on the best one, as track riding is completely different in as much as the tarmac is designed to be more 'grippy'

I know this is a sort of answer, but I could ask round for you and e-mail you back,

Regards

Nigel
