I have an 05 big ruckus and the battery is dead. First is this something I can
change and second where is it located and what model battery do I need?

Changing out the battery should be a relatively simple procedure that you can do yourself if you are the least bit handy. The battery is located under the seat and all you should need is a flat head and a phillips head screwdriver.
