Answer
If you've just bought a brand new motorcycle from a reputable dealer, then you will have received an owner's handbook with it. Follow the advice given in the handbook or on the sticker on the bike on what engine rpms can be used after so many miles.

The main thing to remember is to make sure you don't overstress the engine by allowing it to labour too hard in a high gear.

On engine speed, the advice is usually not to rev the engine for a sustained period above 5,000 rpm during the first 500 miles. Your model may differ slightly. Occasionally taking an engine above that limit will not harm it though.

Hope you enjoy your new ride and take some advanced training at the earliest opportunity.
