Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: armour all, strong one, armour

Question
I did the same thing someone else did, put Armour all on my tires and got about an inch of tread on both sides both tires and tires are brand new! stupid i now know, just glad I didn't hurt myself because I rode too! I scrubbed them and scrubbed them but my friend says he can still feel it so is the file thing you suggested a good idea? Or have I totally wasted $300

Answer
Armor All will wear off eventually, fortunately it's not a permanent coat.

I'd try the hard file to see if it gets you back to bare rubber. If you're not satisfied with that, literally remove the wheel and drag it across some rough concrete on the slippery edges--that's what I had to do once when I spilled oil on a tire.

You might try cleaning the coated part of the tires with a water/dishsoap solution. Make it a strong one, then rinse it thoroughly. After that, filing should scrub the rest of it off.
