Nissan Repair: 95 Nissan SEV6 turn signal fuse, cylindrical device, support bracket

My turn signal flasher went out and I can't find it to replace it.  Is it under the hood and where?  OR possibly under the dash and where?  I've replaced the smaller fuse under the dash and it's fine but my signals still don't work.

nissan Hi Kim -

The turn signal flasher should be under the dash near the steering column area. Look for a round cylindrical device about 1" in diameter, usually attached to the brake pedal support bracket.

I have attached a picture so you know what it looks like.
