Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: trailering a motorcycle, joe thanks, gas tank

I'll be moving to New Mexico soon, and plan on putting the bike in the back of a box truck with the rest of my belongings. I plan on using a wheelchock and tie downs, but i am unsure whether i should have gas tank full or empty during the trip? Any other tips would be appreciated. thanks Joe

Thanks for the question.

Empty the gas tank for the trip. Once you reach your destination, fill it up again. While the chances of something happening (such as gas spilling) ar low with a properly tied-down bike, better safe than sorry. And not that the cops care or would check, but most states do require you have the tank empty while shipping a bike.
