Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: Front forks, suzuki gsxr 600, 1998 suzuki gsxr 600

I'm not sure if this would be a safety issue, but my brother-in-law wants to give me his 1998 suzuki gsxr 600. The only thing is, that it has kawasaki forks on it. Is that a problem/safety issue. I'm not sure?

If the bike handles okay, it shouldn't be a problem. Lots of racers, looking to make their machines better, use parts from other bikes.

Your best bet is to find out why the forks were changed, and how they made the bike handle differently afterward.
