I would like to know if its possible to buy a car several states away and have it delivered, and is there any help sites for people new at buying cars?

Thanks for your question. Here is the answer:

Is it possible to buy a car several states away? Yes it is we do it all the time. I would caution you to either inspect the vehicle prior to taking delivery or have somebody you trust do the inspection for you... At the very minimum I would make sure I was in possession of 50 to 70 high-resolution photos of the vehicle. I would also caution you to never buy a car out of the state of Florida under these types of circumstances.

Your second question is a little more complicated. Yes is the answer you will have to pay in full for the vehicle and then supply the transportation company with written approval to pick up the vehicle and transport it. If you go to Google and put in auto transport companies you will find more than you can imagine. These companies are mostly brokers and not the transportation provider themselves. You can receive quotes online very quickly by filling out one day quote request forms I would caution you however not to use your real phone number or you will receive literally dozens of calls constantly for weeks. These brokers work off of the fee they charge you up front usually $100-$250 they claim they will not charge to your credit card until after the vehicle has been picked up. This is not usually the case no matter what they say. These quotes are also highly negotiable so don't be afraid to work them against each other. Also, these guys will say anything to get you committed to doing business with them. This includes promising a pickup and delivery that is unrealistic and unlikely. We work only with companies where we are dealing directly with the transportation provider themselves.

Finally, you ask if there are any websites that tell people how to buy cars who have never done it. GREAT NEWS! This is one of those websites and I hold people's hands all the time throughout the entire process let me know if you need my help. There is clearly a right way and wrong way to buy a car whether it be locally or across state lines. The difference can cost you thousands of dollars you don't need to spend.
