Used Cars: 2003 volvo S40, lease cars, volvo s40

Question
Looking at buying and car has 75,000 miles but owner said she never did 60,000 service. I know this is a big service. Could that have hurt the car? The car runs great. Just some low noise from air that sounds as if something stuck in there but it worked great. Other than that the car idles like it is not even on. And it was an Enterprise lease car for about a year until she bought in 2004. Thanks for your help.

Answer
Well I am unfamiliar with what exactly is involved in the 60k mile service, but I dont know what could be recommended at that low of mileage that would be detrimental for not being done on time, so I would not be real concerned about the 60k service not being performed, but I would definetly get it done in the event you purchase the car.  And you might try to find out what the mileage was when she bought it, because if it rolled over 60k while enterprise had the vehicle it may have been done.  Enterprise is supposed to maintenance their vehicle as per manufacturer standards, though I question if they do or not.  With it being a Volvo, I would think there is a better chance of them doing it as opposed to the cheaper ford and chevy lease cars they have a lot more of.
