Used Cars: car title, title document, reason 2

Hi,

I have recently purchased (a week back) a used car from a car dealer in New Jersey. At the time of making payment (it was a cash sale through debit card), I did not get the title document.

Can you please tell me how long it takes to transfer title from dealer to me.
The dealer has given me a temporary paper license plate which I have stuck on the back of my car.

I guess I can get registeration/license plate only when I recieve the title.

Hi Pradeep,

On average allow 2 to 4 weeks at which time you can finish the paper work.

I have come across where title have taken much longer, if for some reason 2 months pass get back to me, and I will guide you.
