Used Cars: verbally the salesman would fix, but no fix word in WE OWE, cedar rapids ia, engine hose

Question
Hi ray,

I am asking you what to do in my situation after I saw the similar answer (for We owe..) from you.

First of all, I'm Korean who just arrived 3 weeks ago in the States. Guess what for the first thing I did. Yes, I bought a car with no idea about cars and any negotiation. I picked a 2003 honda accord, and thought that everything is alright and looks good. I took the car to my supervisor who know about car. He found out two things: engine hose leaks and low transmission fluid. Then, I drove back to the dealership, and I found the driver seak is playing back and forth and it moves forward if I press the break pedal.

In the dealership, I did a deal with a salesman and a sales manager. Finally, it took over an hour, out the door price was determined with 'We owe' items. Verbally, they told me that they are going to fix and repair all three things: hose, transmission fluid, and driver's seat play, but no clue now. With three things fixed, it was $10,000. I could discounted the price without the repairs, but I chose to fix them.

After buying the car, the service department ordered the hose and the seat frame, and filled up the fluid. However, last week, the salesman told me that the part is $400 and its labor is $200. He wanted me to pay $400 and he would pay for the labor. It wasn't what I expected. He also told me that he didn't say to fix the seat, but said to check the seat.

Then, I checked the 'We owe' sheet, and I realized that I made a mistake. Before I signed it, I should have checked them carefully. 'We owe' sheet said that
We owe: fix the hose, top-off transmission fluid, driver's seat play.
There is no 'fix' for the driver's seat play.

I don't know what to do for the next. Your answer will be a lot helpful for my situation.

Thank you very much in advance.

Dealership is Honda Randy Kuehl, Cedar Rapids, IA

Answer
Hi Daehyun,

Buying any car is a process of steps, I wish you would have been able to study my website before purchase, here is just one step you missed " example " GOOGLE "''''   Honda Randy Kuehl scams dishonest "'''' and check a few links,,, and then tell me if you would still have purchased a car from this dealer ???

Tell the dealer, check the seat means fix the problem, you fix it or I will be forced to go small claims court,,, the dealer will most likely laugh because 99% of buyers can't be bothered,,, but if they would,,, 80% of the dealers would most likely settle prior to,,, dealers don't like going to court, it's not only time consuming but will blemish their reputation at the same time.

If you want to take further action, then send me a copy of the transaction, I would like to see how it's worded before I recommend you contacting legal counsel.
