Used Cars: used car now has problems, honda civics, superficial problems

Question
Hi Ray,
Thank you for your time and service. About two years ago, I co-signed for a used car for my sister. We went to a dealership that I trusted since I had bought two new cars there before and all was great. This was the first time we bought a used car there. We were never told the car had been in an accident but have discovered this little by little, at first through superficial problems- dented parts here and there. Now the car is making loud noises when driven and I am concerned it will begin to fail soon. We bought the car in August of 2008. It is a 2007 Honda Civic and it had 20k miles at the time of purchase. My previous Honda Civics are older, more mileage and running ten times better than this one. Do we have any rights? What can we do? Is it just too late? Thank you again and happy holidays.

Answer
Hi Priscila,

Happy holidays to you also, yes it's to late unless the loud noises has to do with recall or under warranty. I assume vehicle has still got some warranty remaining ? Have you had an inspection to locate the problem ?

Have you ever run a history report on this vehicle to check for accident repair through AutoCheck ? you will find a link on my website.
