which one will last longer ?
whcih one do you like ?

Answer
Both of these trucks have good reputations to last a long time, but in the end, it is going to boil down to which one was taken care of better.
It is ok if the GMC is all beat up, as long as it was maintenanced properly, and the Ford sounds to have been pretty well taken care of.
And also which one do you need the most, are you needing a 4x4, or are you needing a better fuel economy ride.  The GMC is going to do better gas mileage, but it is only going to be like a 1 to 3 mpg, it would probably be more if the Ford was an Automatic.
Just from what I have read, I would pick the ford to last longer, overall, the 4.6 V8 is a really good motor, and a manual transmission is as long term as it gets, in combination with it appears the Ford has been taken care of really well.
