Used Cars: private car sale in p,a,, Buyer Beware Private sale

Question
are cars sold in a private sale in pa sold as is?

Answer

me
Yes they are ... caveat emptor (buyer beware) that is not to say that cars sold thru a private sale that are late model and low mile vehicles may still have some of the factory warranty left on them and in that case the warranty would come from the manufacturer to you and not the seller. I would encourage you to have any vehicle you buy from a private party (and about 80% of the dealers) inspected by a 3rd party who is looking out for your best interests especially if you are spending 1000's of dollars. Get a current carfax or autocheck report on the car and do your homework on any car you are considering buyig BEFORE you buy it.

Thanks for the question ...as you could no doubt see we are only as good as the feedback we get back from the people we answer questions for. It is my goal on all questions to stay with it until you are completely satisfied and are able to give me 10's across the board. If you ever find that you aren't able to do that then please let me know before you vote so that I can remedy any ambiguity....Thanks Roger
