Used Cars: Jerry rigged brakes, brake fluid flush, caliper

Question
I purchased a vehicle about 4 months ago "AS IS", I understand the "AS IS" agreement. My situation is I had the vehicle inspected during a routine oil change and brake fluid flush, I was told that my rear wheel caliper plug was "Jerry rigged" with a peice of string to make sure it stayed in place. After closer inspection by the mechanic, he stated that the caliper threads were stripped and the plug could not tighten back in. When I purchased this vehicle the dealership stated that the vehicle is safe and then to find out that the brake system was rigged with string, could that be a justifacation to return the vehicle, are there any laws that I'm protected by or am I S.O.L??

Answer
Hi Ramil

I really want to be on your side of the fence, but "  AS IS "  means just that, whatever the problems when you hit the curb becomes your problems.

I would like to know the sellers name and address, there are ways we can hurt future business while warning other buyers to stay away from this dealer.
