Used Cars: used car price, lexus rx, nav system

Question
QUESTION: I was wondering how negotiable the price is of a used car? If a dealer is selling a car for 24K, what is the lowest possible offer you think they may take? I am sure it may vary, but in general how low can I go?
Thanks

ANSWER: Hi Josephine " Happy New Year "

Your question is a valid one, but also one that can branch out with many answers, navigate to this link on my website   http://www.usedcartips.org/fairprice.html  it will provide some answers.

I will be able to tell you what I think a fair price is if you provide details of a vehicle along with zip code, or better still if you can provide a link?

Answer
VIP Honda checks out good with book, there are over 40 same type vehicle's within 50 miles of this zip code and price seems fair asking with the NAV system, the miles a little on the high side, but one owner and being sold certified spells no red flags.

It now comes down to how good you are at negotiations, and for you to be asking me a Q shows you done a little homework, something that most consumers don't, good going. It's my guess the Lexus is marked up around $3.5 to $4, if you can make a deal with a $ 1500. discount of price you will be good.

However, the dealer most likely will have other fees added on, like adm/handling, this is an area where you must stay strong to avoid these cash cow charges for the dealer.

In my website study negotiating, should you have further questions, I will be here for you,,,Good Luck
