Used Cars: Buying a MINI, mini one cabrio, mini cabrio

Question
Hello, I know your from Canada, so you may not be able to offer any advise (but they're no Experts from the UK in this category)
I'm after buying a MINI convertible, but I really don't know which variant to choose, either a MINI ONE cabrio, or a MINI COOPER cabrio.
They've both got things going for them and against them, so I thought a professional opinion would be ideal.
I've got about £9,000 to spend and can easily get a MINI cabrio in that price range, but theres 1 glitch... my age. I'm only 18, so the MINI ONE would be ideal as insurance is cheaper, but as the MINI cabrio is heavier in comparison to its hatchback equivalent so extra power of the COOPER would come in handy and make it more fun to drive.
So I'm really stuck in which version to choose, do I spend more on insurance to have a car thats fun to drive, or do I sacrifice a bit of power to save some £'s?
Any help/advise you can give (if you can at all) would be much appreciated!

Thanks
James

Answer
Hello James,
In past experiences I can honestly tell you that the fun car to drive is worth the extra $$$ otherwise you will be driving the car with less performance and will be always thinking "man if this was the cooper it would pick up faster.. if this was the cooper it would have h.i.d lights .. etc" If you can afford the Cooper .. go with it !
