Used Cars: Which car should I buy?, ford explorers, 2006 ford explorer

I'm in a dilemma about which car to buy.  I'm looking at Ford Explorers.  I saw a 2006 Ford Explorer XLT.  The carfax report is good.  But it has 60,000 miles on it.  Is that equivalent to buying a 5 year old car?  
The other one I saw is a 2005 with only 30,000 miles.  But the price is a LOT more - $6,000 more and it would be a stretch to purchase it.  Do you think it's a bad idea to get the 2006 with 60,000 miles.  Please answer as soon as possible.

I would not be concerned with the mileage at all.  I am very, very familiar with everything about Explorers.  I have sold them for years, and years, and owned a few.  That vehicle with 60,000 miles is not even "Broke in".  You are not even scheduled to do your first transmission service till 150,000 miles!  Explorers are EXTREMELY good vehicles, and you can rest assure on a long time running with very little problems, just keep them maintained, and you can bet on a long life with this vehicle.
