Used Cars: Salvage car, triple damages, full disclosure

Question
Hi, we live in Michigan and we are financing a car. Our credit is not good and
went to a little car dealership. It has been 2 weeks and we thought all was
well. Today when we went to the dealer to pick up the license plates , they
informed us that we had to sign the title and it was orange. We discovered
this means salvged and  we didnt sign it. We are trying to decide what to do.
They said to get another car we have to put 1200 more down. We think we
want to give the car back and get refunded. Do they have to refund us? Please
advise- we don't have a clue. Also, it was never disclosed to us about it being
salvaged. On the application for registration- no box was checked. Thanks
for your help. If you can't help can you please point us in the direction of
someone who can?

Answer
You need to hire an attorney, I'm sure the laws are similar, You can sue the dealer for triple damages, which means they will have to give you 3x the price you paid for the car and any other incidentals. This is the bad part, CONSUMERS NEVER FOLLOW THRU, thats why bad dealers get away with it over and over. DO NOT except anything less. A dealer cannot sell you a salvage car without full disclosure and you would know if you signed it. Good Luck and if you need more help let me know.
