Used Cars: Selling a Dodge Nitro, blue book value, lucky person

Question
Hi, I won a 2008 Nitro in a raffle and would like to sell it. It has 70 miles and MSRP is 24,000. My concern is what should be my starting price in case I need to negotiate down. I'm a horrible negotiator and am never sure when to push back or back down. I took it to a dealer and got an offer of 14,500.  Someone told me 17,000 would be a decent amount to sell it for. I can't find a Blue Book value because 2008 Nitro information is not available in the used section. Can you help?
Thanks!!!

Answer
Hello Susana,
I would suggest asking 19500 for the vehicle as it is still new, you can be worked down to about 17000 if necessary. when people come to see it let them make you a offer first , if you open your mouth and tell them you will take 17,000 for it , you may have lost out if the number they were thinking is 18500 .. so let them speak price first! When you do advertise it in your local papers and used car mags, be sure to write in the ad that you have won it and am selling it to a lucky person for 19500 being 5,500 less then what its at the dealer for and no tax! :D
