Used Cars: used car engine block bad after 2 days, engine mechanic, dodge charger

Question
QUESTION: I just bought a dodge charger 2days after, a noise started in the engine.  mechanic states it is passenger block in the motor.  what can i do?

ANSWER: Hello Alicia,
Sorry to here about your problem. Who did you buy the car from, dealership, note lot or auction? What state do you live in. Did you sign a piece of paper "As is Warranty". Where you offered an extended warranty to purchase? You can search the net for your state Dept of Transportation or Dept of Public Safety and see what laws you have. Alicia if you can give me more info I will see what we can do, if anything.

QUESTION: I BOUGHT IT IN TEXAS IN A USED CAR LOT. THEY GAVE ME 3 MONTHS WARRANTY FROM AN INSURANCE COMPANY.

Answer
Hello Alicia,
I'm in Texas as well, If you have a warranty, what's the problem? There is a lemon law in Texas, if you bring a car back to the dealer more than three times to fix the same problem, you can file for lemon law. This can be a real pain and time consuming but it's an option. I'm still not clear about your problem, is the dealer saying they are not going to fix it? Do you not want the car anymore, what year is the car and when you say used car lot, is it a actual manufacture dealership?
